Our community focus groups and survey study provided understanding that a Recreation District is the best organizational structure to support Teton County, ID recreation goals moving forward.
Phase 1: Seek to understand
Our 2021 and 2022 community focus groups and survey led us to understand what our community is wanting. An entity to lead. Three approaches surfaced. Nonprofit, Recreation Department, and Recreation District. Read the report here.
Phase 2: Reviewing report
The quality and scope of the community need was assessed. The general direction of community interest, growth and desire to maintain and improve supports the creation of a Recreation District to develop a sustainable path to make these goals into reality for Teton County, ID.
Phase 3 : Action
In this third phase we are taking action, based on phase 1 & 2 to identify and plan out the best path. We are creating an efficient, cohesive effort to bring quality recreational opportunities by bringing a ballot initiative in November 2024 for a Recreation district in Teton County, ID.
